I’m late with my posting sorry about that. I wanted to get this out sooner. But such was my day today. I got lots of things done, not in the order I wanted but I did get some check marks off my list.

I ran across this site – Contemporist the other day. They have some great posts on houses and modern furnishings. It’s worth the read. From their about page:

A Contemporist is someone who appreciates contemporary design.

We are Contemporists!

We focus on architecture, furniture, interior design, lighting and anything else to do with contemporary design.

They had a lighting post there for a company called Yellow Goat Custom Lighting from Australia. I think they have some really interesting and innovative lighting. I have a few pictures here but do yourself a favor and click over to the site and check out the variety and unique designs they have. Very interesting and exciting work.

What I love about Seed is the sense of movement the forward and backward present to my eye. But also it frames the light nicely and gives it a place to reflect from. Also the geek in my likes the carrot aspect of it. Those are the beginning and ending statements for HTML and so that’s always going to have a soft spot for me. They have them in a mall which means that the sizing might be off for a residential setting but I can imagine a few of these in a sitting room or over a table. The Bolero series seems like it would be fantastic in highlighting a particular setting or setting off a color in a room. I’m definitely not an interior decorator and my friend Jim who is a professional lighting designer and consultant (and whom you should hire for any of your lighting consulting needs), is much more educated about this than I. I just know I like the look of these products and it’s amazing work.
